Chief Government Spokesperson Dora Siliya says
Government is not in a panic mode following the filing of the notice of motion
by the UPND for the impeachment of President Edgar Lungu.
Mr Siliya says the impeachment motion by the UPND is
an abuse of National Assembly rules and procedures.
Speaking at a media briefing, Ms Siliya says the
notice of motion is not only misconceived but also represents an outrageous
attempt to abuse the procedures of the National Assembly as well as the remedy
of impeachment.
Ms Siliya, who is also Information and Broadcasting
Services Minister, says the allegations do not amount to any impeachable
offense recognized in any system of government.
